Hello, this is Azusa from GLI staff.

It was a while ago,February 27 at the GLI.Half Coming of Age CeremonyThe first time we did this, we had the opportunity to Today, we will tell you how it went!

What is GLI's Half Adult Ceremony?

Enrolled at GLIHalf Adult = Ceremony for students turning 10 years oldThe half-adult ceremony. Originally scheduled to take place in January, the month in which the coming-of-age ceremony is held, it was postponed to February 27 due to the impact of Corona.

At the Half Adult CeremonyQuestionnaire for parents and students in advance. The answer to the question "What is the best way to get the most out of the system?

The staff also looked through it, especially the parents,The loving answers were unintentionally, at this point, I was already in tears....

Based on these, the students, with support from the instructor, created a presentation about their memories of their family and their dreams for the future, as well as slides based on photos provided by their parents.

The meeting will be moderated by slightly older junior high and high school students.

After that, it's time for the presentation! The following is a list of the most common problems with the

One by one, they stepped forward and proudly shared their memories of the past and their dreams for the future. After the students' presentations, their parents gave their impressions one by one, and some of them were moved to tears, as if something had touched their hearts.

After the presentation, a letter was given to the students.

I took the time to have them read their letters carefully on the spot. Afterwards, when I said to the students, "A word to your parents," some of them were a little shy or a little defensive, laughing. What kind of things they wrote...of course, one can only imagine. But I felt that the students' words and attitudes conveyed a warm feeling.

At the end, the GLI gave the students. It was a bouquet of flowers and,Let's write a letter to my 20 year old self! and a set of letter paper and envelopes with the message "Let's write a letter to me, 20 years old!

Write a letter to yourself 10 years from now, leave it with your parents, and open and read it when you turn 20!...is what I would call it.

I wonder what I will be like in 10 years.

I wonder what the world will look like in 10 years.

I wonder how I would feel if I read my own letter from 10 years ago.

Although it is difficult to predict what will happen in the next 10 years, I hope that the world will still be a place where these women and their families can live and shine. I hope that the world will be a place where they can live and shine even more vibrantly 10 years from now.

And also what we can do to make that happen.

The purpose of the half-adult ceremony is to,Reflect on your progress over the past 10 years, reaffirm your connection with your family and renew your sense of gratitude, as well as have them think about their future selves and dream about their dreams.Things to do.

This is the perspective that GLI wants its children to have,"Know yourself, know the world, know others."We believe that this will lead to

Through lessons and events, I hope to continue to help students learn more about themselves and others, and to connect with the world.

Thank you for reading to the end.
