We want to be a "place" for children.

Eventful Sunday

Hello, this is Kaburaki, the president of GLI. This past Sunday was full of events and many people came to GLI.

"One-Half Coming of Age Ceremony."We had five 10-year-olds give speeches at the event, which was hosted by twin siblings who are about to enter junior high school.

A child gave a speech in tears because she could not express her feelings as she wanted to. The mother, who sees through this, finallyI want them to make lots of mistakes and learn to work hard from them."He gave his impressions.

The child who told him about setting the clock his father gave him so he could wake up in the morning.'I didn't know you were thinking that. The father commented that it gave him a chance to look at his children again.

'It's good to know what other kids besides my own are thinking. It's good to have an environment where children are looked after by everyone, not just one's own children.'The father said.

Mother of a child who doesn't listen due to adolescent rebellion. He never talks about anything at home, so it was nice to see a scene like this."

in additionI like GLI better than school, so I was glad to have this opportunity." "This was my first time to attend such an event, and I was impressed that I could give a speech in English in front of more people than I expected. We received feedback such as

I was listening to the children's speeches and the parents' comments, and I thought,English and programming are important, but alsoI want GLI to be a "place" for children,This was the case.

It is truly a blessing to see our children grow up.

Some good, some not so good. We do good things and we do bad things. That's normal. They are children.

If grandparents are nearby, they can comfort you when your parents are angry with you, but this is not always possible in urban life.

No matter how much educational reform is progressing and new skills and knowledge are being acquired, I believe that what will be even more important for their future endeavors will be the foundation of how much they felt at home when they were young.

The child, who had not received much attention recently due to her mother's illness and her younger brother's entrance exam, spoke openly about her dreams for the future.

He is a great big brother who has always worried about his younger brother even in such times. Even if his mother and father are not watching over him, he has someone else who is watching over him. I hope I can be that kind of person.

I would like to continue to watch over these children so that when they reach adulthood, they will be very happy that they attended GLI.

Hawaii Study Tour & STEAM Course Information Session

After that.Hawaii Study Tours.and will begin in April.STEAM Course."This was an informational meeting for the

The third grade students who came to the Hawaii Study Tour information session were outside students who also participated in last year's Nepal Study Tour.

After graduation, he will go to high school in Calgary, Canada in September. Until then, he had some time to spare and wanted to join us. I thought it was great that he really thought his life through.

Parents asked many questions at the end of the STEAM course information session.

English and STEAM are absolutely essential Skills from now on, but is there any progress in school? And English is one of them, but what about Chinese? And, are there any schools that are making good progress in school reform? etc.

Finally, a mother whose daughter has been studying in the U.S. since the first grade of junior high school was there, so the participants asked each other for information about studying in the U.S.

The one thing we agree on is that we are seriously searching for the kind of education that will truly make children happy.

And that is something that is not readily available in Japan today.

What do you think?" "When I see more and more young people starting their own businesses and playing an active role in the industry, I think that Japan is not as bad as people say. What do you think?

Compared to the past, the number of young people who are working and living outside of the conventional framework is increasing dramatically.

So, I think the problem is that there is no place for young people like them to learn. I think it means that Japanese education has not caught up with them.

I know many people who have studied abroad or started their own businesses, but the impetus for their actions is really just a little thing.

It is true that many students thought that they could not go on like this because their friends studied abroad, or because it was a school trip, or even 、、、、.

And obviously, life is very different after studying abroad. I would say that the experience is irreplaceable!

I believe that experience is the best education parents should offer their children. And I believe that one goal of a child's learning is to act.

The more you accumulate such experiences, the more you can feel something, think about it, and take the next action.

And the younger they are, the better.

The experience of meeting people other than one's parents, coming into contact with nature and other unknown things, and learning about foreign countries will certainly create a person. It touches the heart more than anything you can say.

Today, I had contact with so many children, heard the true feelings of their parents, and was reminded once again of the need to create a good education.

Children are really cute, no matter who they are, and I hope that GLI can be trusted more and more to help them so that every one of them can lead a happy life.
