CLIL & Immersion Courses
Small-group lessons with 6 students per class cultivate "reading, writing, listening, and speaking" skills.
Eiken" step by step, even for beginners®Students will acquire "4-skills English proficiency at the level of Level 2. CLIL is a style of learning "in" English.
By using English to promote inquiry-based learning, students can acquire advanced English and inquiry skills while having fun.
In addition to twice-weekly classroom lessons, online home study will enhance learning effectiveness and help students achieve their goals for each level.
4 Features
GLI's greatest feature is its unique "CLIL" style textbooks, which allow students to acquire skills while having fun. GLI focuses on "World Exploration" and "STEAM" to keep children interested in English and motivated to learn. The biggest secret to improving English is to use it. By doing lots of research, writing, and presentations, we will develop the four English skills in a well-balanced and sophisticated way.
*"CLIL" is a learning method in which students "learn" other subjects such as math and social studies in English, rather than "learning English itself" as they do in school English.
Each course and unit has structured learning content and objectives, allowing students from English beginners to learn without difficulty. In the final FF course, students spend six months exploring a theme of their own choosing and give a 10-minute presentation at the final presentation meeting. Through this series of studies, students will acquire skills that are essential in today's global society, such as logical thinking, research, and presentation skills.
GLI offers a wide variety of monthly events that will have you itching to use your English. These events include overseas study tours and other events that take place in foreign countries, actively providing opportunities to learn about and experience the world. Through a variety of experiences, children's curiosity and spirit of inquiry will grow and their interests will deepen.
Two or three times a year, we hold educational consulting sessions with children and their parents. We carefully listen to your child's current situation and goals, and propose the most appropriate study plan, whether it is a short-term study abroad program for one year or a long-term study abroad program; these days, it is common for children to study abroad. We will give you appropriate advice on how to combine entrance examinations and study abroad, and when and how much preparation is necessary to study abroad at top schools.
