GLI Overseas Study Tour Information Meeting in the Philippines this summer!

Hello, this is Kaburaki, GLI representative.

GLI is pleased to announce thatThe tour will be held in Davao, Philippines from July 21 (Sun.) to 27 (Sat.), 2011.Overseas Study Tour" was held.I will do so.

What is GLI's Study Tour Abroad?

Not a sightseeing tour, but a "learning" tourIt is.

It is a dream trigger, a local exploration study, a teamwork and leadership acquisition, and every night there is a review and sharing of the day's learning (reflection) to see what they felt and how they have grown through the activities.

In the past, he has traveled to Nepal and Hawaii,Experiences and learning that "you can never experience" in Japanand a lot of growth.

In Nepal, we visited a local school.

About Davao Study Tour

GLI Online teachers spend time in Davao, where a variety of exciting and thrillingThere are many social issues as well as activities.

Day 1: Movement

Later that day, you will fly from Japan to Manila. Then we will head to Davao, our final destination.

Day 2:Visit to GLI Davao

You will finally meet in person with the teachers you have always studied English with online.

We will attend a welcome party at GLI's Davao office and have lunch together.

Then, titled "English Camp," students will strengthen their English and communication skills in preparation for a week in the Philippines.

In the afternoon, we will go out to the park and try the "Amazing Race" where we will complete missions such as interviewing locals, looking for 00, etc.

Day 3:Malagos and Eden Sky Adventure

A day to enjoy the nature of Davao, Philippines.

Visitors will experience chocolate making in Davao, a cacao-producing region, and enjoy sky activities such as Zip line in the great outdoors.

Of course, you will be with our online teachers during the activity. You will be immersed in an English environment from morning to night.

Day 4:Community Service

This is the fourth day we spend in the town of Davao. We learn that there are many problems in the city as well as the beautiful nature, and help what we can do to help in any way we can.

Why are mangroves disappearing? Why are they decreasing? and "Why are they decreasing?

Day 5:Explore Samal Island

A day of great adventure in the Philippine nature. We will take a ferry to Samal Island.

Bat caves, beautiful seas, and tastes that can only be found in the Philippines...create unforgettable memories with our teachers!

Day 6: Final day

On the last day of the program, we will work with the teachers to paint a picture to be displayed in the GLI Davao office, and create an artwork with memories of Davao using shells, nuts, pebbles, and other materials collected during the daily activities.

For snack time, we will go to a local supermarket and buy ingredients within a budget set by each group to make "halo-halo," a Filipino snack.

Finally, the teachers and I will decorate a classroom in Davao, reflecting on our activities in Davao.

Day 7: Return home

The only thing left to do after our enjoyable tour of Davao, Philippines, is to return to Japan. We will return from Davao airport to Narita by the end of the day.
