Umeki Takuya, Public High School Teacher, Vancouver School District

Since 2007, she has been involved in childcare and support for children with disabilities in Canada, and since 2007, she has been a mathematics teacher at a public high school in Vancouver. In addition to her work, she is currently enrolled in a master's program in mathematics education at Simon Fraser University. She is a certified teacher of the student-centered learning method, "Classroom without Answers. She runs a salon that supports people who want to become teachers abroad. Her current goal is to be involved in teacher training and teacher development in both Canada and Japan. Her hobbies include reading and visiting cafes.
