Harumi Fun Event] Event Report!
Hello, this is Brandon, a GLI instructor.
On the recent November 26.Fun Event" at Harumi SchoolI did!
First of all, we would like to thank all the students who participated in the fun event. We are happy to see so many students who want to play in English, have fun communicating in English, and have a wonderful day.
The following was done at the eventEvent HighlightsIt is.
chess
Six students played together. Many of the students already knew chess, but some were learning for the first time, so we started by explaining the rules.
But interestingly, all of them,''How can we win?''We were interested in this. So we asked, "How can we win?" They demonstrated critical thinking, such as planning ahead of time, and practicing in a practical way.
monopoly
Students showed their money management skills and real estate speculation skills through Monopoly.
The student who bought up the property and collected rent from the others had the upper hand in the beginning. However, some lucky students got into lucky spaces three times, and I think in the end it came down to luck. This is one of the interesting aspects of Monopoly.
Students enjoyed the fun of the game and were able to hone their counting, reading, speaking, and listening skills in English as well as financial planning.
Chip O.
The aim of the game is to be the first to line up four chips on the game board. To do so, you must read your cards and identify the pictures on the board.
We played this game in teams, and I think we improved our teamwork skills and learned to wait patiently for others. I think we learned how to improve our teamwork skills and wait patiently for others. This game was very exciting.
Motor Skill Games
What is Motor Skill Games?Jenga" and "Cup Stacking."This refers to games that require athleticism, such as
Not only does it develop such athleticism,Teamwork, communicating in English, and lots of smiles!were seen. First of all, I think Jenga required precise movements, carefully removing the pieces to prevent the tower from collapsing.
In the "Cup Stacking" game, teams of two competed to stack cups higher and faster than their opponents.
What I have found throughout this event is that I enjoyed this event myself, and that I was able to do so because of the laughter and smiling faces of my students.
It was great for us as well as the students to be able to practice English in a fun, relaxed, and competitive environment with a few games.
Events like this are essential to increase opportunities to use live English, and we hope to hold more events like this in the future.
Thank you for taking the time to read my report!
