Divided into "two" ofEach of the two days is held for two days.I did! 😊

In today's blog,'What did you actually do? ^ ^'This is what you will find out! I hope you enjoy reading it ✨.

Theme 1: Technology and Design (Aug. 22 and 23)

First of all, this timeThe purpose of the Harumi School Summer School."As for,The past and present of "Technology" and "Art" (art and design), the elements of "STEAM Education" we offer. And to explore the future of the past, present and future of "Technology (Technology)" and "Art (Art and Design)".It was.

So, as for this "Theme 1 (Technology and Design)", it is more focused on technology and design, and also, on the second day, it is being talked about in the media,TeamLab" for hands-on experience of technology and designThe plan was to experience the activities of the

About Day 1

So, on Day 1.The Five Senses and "What can you explore around you using your senses?"About. And by learning the concepts of reflection and refractionFundamentals of Optics. We also learned about (*Photographs show actual work)

To gather materials, we ask students to go outside of the classroom and pick up materials that they can feel with their five senses.

Also, to further these studies,Each student's original kaleidoscope, using their imaginative ideas.made.

I felt that every kaleidoscope was unique and no two were the same 😊.

Each participant was given a scrapbook in which to reflect on what they had experienced and learned on the first day.

About Day 2

On the second day, we finally went to the main activity, TeamLab Planets!

Of course, you can't just go, you have to apply what you learned on day 1.The task of summarizing what you "saw", "smelled", "heard", "touched", and "tasted" using your five senses.was given to the students.

Another mission was to write down what light does when we see interesting exhibits that use refraction and reflection of light. There was a lot of surprise happening as each of them saw and experienced things that were new to them 😊.

After taking their time to experience the TeamLab activities, they returned to the classroom and worked on a worksheet to confirm what they had learned and understood over the two days. Finally, they presented their own efforts in front of the participants.

Throughout these two days,I think the students were able to deepen their understanding of the "five senses".I thought!

Theme 2: Art and Design (Aug. 26 and 27)

And another theme.Art and DesignIt is! The first main part of this theme is.Making AmezaikuSo, we did it on the first day!

About Day 1

Before going to Asakusa to experience "Amezaiku making," we first learned about Amezaiku in the classroom. For example, what materials are used for Amezaiku? What kind of flavorings and colorings are used? These were things that even adults did not know!

From there, after actually arriving at Asakusa, the students were first shown how to properly use special scissors. After two practice sessions, the students had a chance to make their own rabbit candy.

The students were happy to take their own candy back to the classroom and excited to learn more the next day! 😊

About Day 2

Day 2,Students on color theory and how light looks when combined. And then there are RGB (red, green, blue) and CMYK (cyan, magenta, yellow, black). What are the two color models and how do they look in practice? We also learned about

This time, we also used a modern technology, fluorescent paint, to create art designs, which were then illuminated with black light!

The summer school ended with a brief presentation of each student's activities using a scrapbook!

The students were able to fully enjoy the journey of art and technology throughout the two days of the program (o^-^o)!

Well, how was the "Summer School Report" that we sent you divided into two themes? 😊I hope you will come visit us at the [Winter School] to be held this winter, as you will learn 100 times more by actually attending than by writing 😊!

Thank you for reading this far.
