Now is the time for survival SKILLS

School has been closed in Corona. Honestly, these two months are huge for the kids.

 

What's the big deal?Education is to achieve independence.Home education in particular was a place to acquire life skills.

 

Starting with scissors, knives, cleaning, cooking, laundry, sewing, staying at home alone, nappy-taking, etc.... I was left alone in the past, so I did it by myself.

 

When I was hungry, I ate rice left in the rice cooker with ochazuke (rice with green tea).

 

If it was boring, I made paper airplanes from advertisements and flew them. That is how I climbed the stairs to independence.

 

The single most important thing during a school break. It is not academic.

 

This year, the curriculum guidelines for elementary school will be changed and the quantity and difficulty will increase. However, the study can be recovered.

 

The scariest thing is that the guardians are close by and do everything more than usual to raise them.

 

Since they are safe in front of you, why not let them do everything by themselves in times like these?

 

Failure is OK! Think and do it by yourself. Think and do it by yourself.

 

As a first step, and in fact the final form, why not let them make their own daily plans?

 

Decide in advance where the adults will go out with them.

 

Your father and mother both work from home, so do it yourself.

 

As a tool for this, I would have them decide on a weekly schedule, albeit a simple one.

Rule 1: Make your own plans.
Rule 2: Study for the same amount of time as you go to school.
Rule 3: Earn 1 point for every 10 minutes of study.
Rule 4: Earn 3 points for helping out for 10 minutes.

The point is, basically, to stay on the same timetable as at school.

 

And the most important thing to keep in mind in these two months is the disruption of lifestyle.

 

Even when there is nothing going on, truancy and problematic behavior increase after summer vacation.

 

Motivation to learn is also reduced.

And if the children see their parents and all of Japan floundering under the influence of Korona, it will be easier for them to lose their mental and physical balance.

 

The tip of the iceberg of where the issues of study ability and motivation lie lies is actually under the surface.

 

The foundational lifestyle and parental involvement are not in a state to face the study in the first place.

 

If you improve this root, the child will actually run faster.

 

So what are its roots?

Of course there are many factors, but the most important isLet them decide for themselves."I think that is what it is all about.

 

Of course, when they are small, they do not have enough knowledge or ideas to make their own decisions.

 

What is needed at that time is to "ask questions.

You are free to do as you wish. When you are ready, write a plan like the one attached on a large sheet of paper, write what you are going to do with sticky notes, and paste it on the paper.

 

You are free to draw pictures. You are also free to put stickers on it. Anyway, it is important to have fun and make a plan.

 

At first, the same subjects as in school would be good.

 

However, we recommend that you do not necessarily limit yourself to textbooks alone, but rather select the videos we have sent you and make your own plans for what you will learn and how you will learn it.

 

This will enhance your ability to practice.

 

Once again, do not seek perfection from the beginning, and push for improvement even if you fail.

 

Remember this attitude. This is also the main objective of the current educational reform.

These are all issues in education in Japan today.

 

Especially PC Skill of elementary school students should be managed immediately.
