First appearance in FLLjr competition!

Hello, this is Kaburaki, GLI representative.

GLIの生徒たちがFLLjr大会に初出場し、GLI boys見事なプレゼンテーションで、Research award受賞しました！

初出場で初受賞。これは本当に快挙だと思います。

毎年出場する常連チームは毎年入念に策を練って出場します。今年もこれ本当に小学生が作ったの？と思える程の力作ぞろい。その中での受賞は本当に凄い事です。本当におめでとう！

12月22日はファーストレゴリーグ（FLL）東日本大会が開催The first time the company was founded, it was in the process of being reorganized into a new company.

FLLとはレゴブロックで作られた車体にプログラミングされたエンジンを搭載して、与えられたミッションをクリアし得点競う競技It is.

「東京予選→日本予選→世界大会」と繋がっていき、世界大会で優勝すると、なんと、MITから奨学金がもらえると言うとんでもない大会です。

審査は、ブロックを指定されたサークルの中に入れるなどのミッションをクリアする「プログラミング部門」と、与えられたテーマを調査して解決策等を発表する「プレゼン部門」があります。それにチームワークなどを評価する「コアバリュー」の3部門での評価will be.

学年でレベルが分かれていて、今回GLIの子供達が参加したのがFLLjrと言って一番年少クラス。

However,そのレベルは想定をはるかに超え、テーマに対する発想はめちゃくちゃ尖ってました。大会を通してのテーマは災害。テクノロジーを使ってどう災害を防ぐのか、が問われました。

高く浮き上がる避難場所を考えたり、あらゆる天候でエネルギーが生み出せる方法を考えたりと、子供の発想は本当に限界を知らないですね。

プレゼンテーションは他のチームは日本語でしたが、GLI boysは英語でのスピーチ。いつもレッスンやFT、プレゼンテーションdayでやっているResearch力とプレゼンテーション力が生きた結果The company was

プログラミングと聞くと理数科と思われがちですが、ここで必要な知識はデザイン力や発想力、チームワークやくじけない気持ち、チャレンジ精神などです。

次年度に向けての新しいGLIのFLLチームメンバーを募集します。

その昔、アメリカ留学と言えばMBAでしたが、今はやはりSTEM系でしょうか！是非この中から社会を変えるイノベーションを起こして欲しいと思います。

にしてもGLI boysの皆さん、本当におめでとう！本当に誇らしいです。
