Date & Time: Sunday, November 10, 2019, 10:00-15:00

10:00: Gathering

 

10:00-11:00: Hawaii Day (for children)

～Learn about the characteristics and culture of Hawaii.

Guests will be invited to learn about Hawaiian history, culture, and language (e.g., Hawaiian words of greeting). If we have extra time, we will also play Hawaiian games ('ulu maika).

 

10:00-11:00:Lecture (for parents) by our representative, Mr. Kaburaki

~Theme:College Entrance Examination: What You Don't Know About College Entrance Examination～The English Language in the Reform of University Entrance Examinations: This is How It Will Change" ~.

To be implemented in 2020Education Reform" and "Admissions Reform.". Even schools are actually having a hard time keeping up with the changes.

 

Therefore, we focus on "English" with regard to the 2020 entrance exam reform,What has changed? How can we fix it?"Kaburaki, a representative of GLI, who knows both sides of the education field as a "gakushu-juku manager" and a "school principal," will explain how to make the best use of the information.

 

11:00-11:30: Activities for parents and children together

〜Let's make a Hawaiian Lei! 〜Let's make a Hawaiian Lei!

(Hawaiian) Leis are ornaments worn around the head, neck, and shoulders, and are used primarily in Hawaii.

 

This is an activity for parents and children to try making leis together. Please bring them home and feel the Hawaiian atmosphere at home.

 

11:30-12:15: Lunch Time

Lunch will be served to all participants. (Please bring your own lunch and water bottle)

 

12:15-15:00: Pre-Winter School

～Get to know the world's continents and various countries.

In the afternoon, students will learn about the world's continents and various countries beyond Hawaii^ ^ The content will include flash cards, worksheets, and group work,Acquire not only "English" but also knowledge of various countriesWe will continue to do so.

*The tour will be dismissed at 3:00 p.m.
