アメリカジュニアボーディングスクール説明会開催

これまでイギリス中心のGLIでしたが、これからはアメリカボーディングスクールのお手伝いも始めます。

性格によってイギリスも合う生徒と合わない生徒もいますので、選択肢を広げたいと思いました。

兼ねてから素晴らしいエージェントが知り合いにいましたが、コロナなどの関係もあり、話を進めていませんでしたが、この度鏑木渡米により話を進めて来ました。

ジュニアボーディング専門のアンさんは、素晴らしいキャリアの持ち主です。さらに、今回の渡米で留学中の生徒さんと本当に丁寧な関わりをしている姿を間近で見せて頂きました。

GLIとしては単に難関の学校よりも、行ってから育ててくれる学校をイギリスでもアメリカでも探しています。

今回の２校はまさにそのアンさんが紹介してくれた学校ですので、自信を持って進められる学校です。私も直接見学に行ってこの目で確かめて来ました。

【アン氏の経歴など】
Anne Frame Sheppard, now in her eighth year of CEO of AFS Educational Consulting, has more than 20 years of admissions experience at independent schools and universities, including Latin School of Chicago, Western Reserve Academy as well as Harvard University Graduate School of Education and Boston College. As a consultant, Anne works with American and international families helping them find good fit junior boarding and boarding high schools.  Anne’s business is almost entirely referral based and she loves the unique challenges or running her own business after many years working as a full-time school administrator. 

Previously, Anne was involved with the Enrollment Management Association (EMA) in her role as the Head of the Admissions Leadership Council for several years as well as a 16-year faculty tenure at the Admissions Training Institute, mentoring hundreds of admissions professionals at schools across the US. Anne is proud to have initiated women’s network sessions at EMA several years ago with panelists.  These presentations, like this group, were a forum to gather women to discuss common concerns, challenges, and goals. Anne earned her BA and MA from Boston College as well as an Ed.M. from Harvard University Graduate School of Education.
