Japan's happiness ranking drops year by year.Currently "54th" in the world. Lowest among developed countries.It is.

 

We are peaceful, cultured, civilized, moral, and have nothing that we don't have. But why is the country's level of happiness so low?

 

There are schools to go to, food to eat, and houses to live in. Trains come on time, stores are open 24 hours a day, and most toilets have bidet toilets.

 

But why do the citizens of such a country live with the difficulty of living?

I studied hard for entrance exams, got into a good school, joined a good company, and worked hard as a member of the organization. I worked hard for the company, even if my bosses were angry with me or I didn't feel fulfilled.

 

For your children's education, for your house mortgage, for your retirement account. Even when you realize that you are an irreplaceable cog, even if you are the only one spinning out of sync with the rest of the cogs in the wheel.

 

Until now, in a sense, that may have been a good thing.

 

However, times have moved on and technologies such as AI and robots are rapidly evolving.

 

By 2030, half of the jobs that exist today will be replaced by them.

 

Singularity, when artificial intelligence surpasses human capabilities. Station gates have become automatic, handwriting has become word processing, and word processing has become computers.

 

Who would have guessed a few decades ago?

 

Most workers nowadays work in front of a computer. If you can't do Word and Excel, you look like you have some kind of deficiency.

 

Automated driving is already within the range of realization, isn't it? What will the world be like in 20 years, 10 years, or even 5 years from now?

 

From the time when reading, writing, and abacus were the prerequisites for getting a job, we have moved on to leaving high standard schools, and now what is expected of us? What will be required in the future?

 

In an era of great population growth followed by great population decline, 896 of the 1,800 local cities and towns could disappear by 2040.

 

We have moved from an era in which we spend our entire lives in Japan with only Japanese people to an era in which we live in connection with foreigners and the world at large.

 

When we connect these elements together, how can we become people who can live with a sense of happiness in the world and society in the future, not dominated by technology, corporations, or nations in the midst of ethnic diversity on the world stage at large?

 

Unfortunately, however, the reality of Japan's educational administration is that it is more concerned with short-term mess than broad and deep.

 

Five to ten years of confusion. A time when education has truly become more difficult.
