Why does GLI give English presentations?

Hello, I am Kaburaki, a representative of GLI.

 

At GLI Harumi School recentlyPresentation Day."was held.Five students from second grade to eighth gradepresented the results of their daily studies.

They give a speech in English with their parents and friends watching. The tense expressions on their faces before they begin are replaced by a sense of accomplishment afterwards.

 

As a person involved in education, I can say that the joy of witnessing such moments is the driving force behind my work.

 

The primary goal of the current education reform is to"Initiative."It is.If you have an attitude of listening to the teacher one-sidedly or not doing things unless you are told to, you will not be able to play an active role in the society of the future.

How can we foster independence?

Self-affirmation."I am sure you have heard the term

 

I think it can be described as a degree of confidence in oneself. I believe that the root of independence is this sense of self-affirmation.

 

If you are not confident in yourself, you will not willingly engage in something. This self-assurance is necessary to go out of one's ability or comfort zone or to take on something that has the potential for failure.

 

So how can we cultivate a sense of self-esteem? I would like to hold another seminar on this subject at a later date, but first, let me explain the following.Self-determination and responsibility repeat themselves."I think it is.
