Summer Camp in Japan (SCJ). In simple terms, it is a global camp where elementary, junior high, and high school students from around the world can experience what it’s like to “share the same pot of rice” together.
Through living together, participants learn about Japanese culture and unique everyday customs in Japan, and ordinary friendships gradually transform into a sense of true camaraderie.
Comrades are not defined by winning or losing, but by caring for one another and helping each other out. In this way, the program aims to help reduce conflict and competition over resources and move toward a more peaceful world.
Introducing the true atmosphere of SCJ
In 2025, the Summer Camp in Japan saw a total of 26 elementary, junior high, and high school students from Japan, England, Nepal, and the Philippines participate!
A thrilling 9-day program where you experience Japanese culture with a diverse group of international peers!

About us
We at GLI are classified in Japan as an “English conversation school for elementary, junior high, and high school students,” but in reality, we are a global school where students learn through inquiry-based and project-based learning using English. For this reason, students travel overseas to work with local companies, NPOs, and NGOs, while also learning about the culture and society of each place.
In other words, we are a school that develops both skills and mindset with the goal of preparing students to collaborate with peers from around the world in the future.
