GLI Online] Field Trip To Imperial Palace was held!
Hello, this is Aya from GLI Online.
The first field trip in four years, held in April, included 14 children and
We were able to visit Ueno and interview many foreign visitors.
Seeing the children's sparkling eyes and confident expressions after the interview
I wish more children could have this experience! I sincerely felt that I wanted more children to have this experience.
GLI Online will be hosting bi-monthly field trips this year.
I hope we can have many experiences together!
Where are we going in June...?
Now for June's destination.Imperial Palace(The Imperial Palace is located in the center of the city.) It is located right next to the Imperial Palace, and is called the "Imperial Palace.
Wadakura Fountain Park - East Gyoen area.
Walk straight from the Marunouchi side of Tokyo Station, the gateway to Tokyo.
The space is so lush and pleasantly green that it is hard to believe that the area is lined with high-rise buildings.
Wadakura Fountain Park" is a standard stop on sightseeing tours for foreigners. But, surprisingly, even if you live in Tokyo
Some of you may have never been there!
In the spacious plaza in front of the Imperial Palace and the Gyoen, many visitors enjoy a moment of relaxation while taking in the scenery of the garden, which is uniquely Japanese.
What does a field trip entail?
This field trip is a very popular event, but when we actually ask people to participate in the classroom
I can't speak to you in English! I can't!"
Some people say....
For those who are interested, here is a description of the field trip!
First, a preliminary study
To allow plenty of time on the day of the event, advance study will be done online the day before the event.
In advance of the online study, participants will research the Imperial Palace area and discuss in groups what they would like to ask foreigners.
the day of the event (i.e. wedding, funeral, etc.)
Once the group has moved to the interview location, the group will be assigned roles and responsibilities as decided by the group in advance.
They will take turns interviewing and taking notes.
Each group will always have one teacher, so please do not worry!
The first interview is the most exciting part, but after one succeeds, the children dash toward the foreigners one after the other, so that the teachers have a hard time chasing them!
It was fun to have a conversation with him! He was a kind person! I was so excited!
Presentation at the end
After the exciting interview, we returned to the classroom to work on the report.
A report will be prepared based on each of their impressions, and each group will present a summary of the report. The resulting report can be kept as your own experience and achievement.
Here is a sample of the previous report.
This information will be sent to parents after the event for their child's records.
