Easter event was held.
The event was held on Sunday, April 9, at 10:00 a.m. on Easter. A total of 11 students participated in this event, including students enrolled at GLI as well as those who came as a trial.
Easter Celebration
First, everyone will sing a song together and learn words related to Easter together. As we looked at the images, we asked, "What is this?" everyone answered the English words with great vigor.
GLI deepens learning through "English immersion" so that students naturally learn English in English, rather than "learning English in English.
And afterwards, we all took time to fold origami.
While watching the video, the students prepare origami paper and create a rabbit. The explanations were given in English, but since they were given slowly while watching the video, the students were able to smoothly begin creating the rabbit even with English explanations.
Spring Orientation
The second half of the meeting took time to introduce GLI Online's services and teachers.
First, everyone watched an introductory video about the Philippines from a Filipino teacher.
Then there was an introduction of each of the teachers.
Then, Dr. Komura, a Japanese mentor, talked about GLI services starting in April. He informed us about the Japanese mentor system and learning in the virtual space from now on.
GLI Online will continue to evolve as we go forward. This will be the first time we are working in a virtual space, and we hope that it will provide an opportunity for enrolled students to not only learn English on their own, but also to interact with other students and make further use of English.
[Finally, take an online quiz at Kahoot.
As a review of Easter and what we talked about today, we took a quiz.
(Some of the problems were quite difficult.)
But everyone worked hard at it.
[We will be holding various events in the future!
