2/18 [Online Event] February is Valentine's Celebration!

This is Aya from GLI Online School.

At GLI Online,A wide variety of "online events" that will have you itching to use Englishis held monthly.
We hope you will join us at as many events as you are interested in and have fun while learning English.

The February 2023 event will beValentine celebration.

When the topic of Valentine's Day came up with GLI Online teachers.

Is Valentine's Day in Japan the day when girls give chocolate to boys?"
White Day? I don't know!"

and was very surprised at the Japanese custom of Valentine's Day.

There is also "giri-choco" in the old days and "tomochoco" in the recent days.
Perhaps there is a way to enjoy Valentine's Day that is unique to Japan!

We can compare such enjoyment in Japan with the customs of Valentine's Day in other countries.
What was the original meaning? and the history of Valentine's Day!

Even though the customs and culture of Valentine's Day are different.

The feeling of expressing love and gratitude to loved ones is universal, isn't it?

After learning about Valentine's Day, try writing messages in English to your family and friends!

Monthly Event is open to everyone!

After hearing about your English learning level and concerns in a preliminary questionnaire
Japanese staff will provide support as appropriate.

Whether you are an online lesson participant or not.
Online is also a great way to interact with friends in the community that you normally wouldn't see!

Incidentally, Davao in the Philippines, where the online teachers live, is said to be the source of cacao beans, the raw material for chocolate.

I would like to try the very delicious Davao chocolates that win international awards!
