A virtual trip to the "happiest country in the world! Report on the popular "International Day" event

February 20,One of the most popular of GLI's many eventsInternational Day.was held.

 

This year's theme is Bhutan!

↑↑The national flag of Bhutan. The dragon depicted on it is derived from the fact that Bhutan is considered the "land of dragons" in the Tibetan language.

 

Here is a report on the day of the event.

 

What kind of event is International Day?

But first...for those of you who have never heard of GLI's International Day, here's a quick rundown of what the event is all about.

Each time, one theme country is chosen and participants learn about the country's landmarks, food, and cultural characteristics.

Sometimes we invite guests who are from the country or have a close relationship with the country.The program is a great opportunity for students to gain experience that they would not have had the chance to gain if they had only studied textbooks.

 

Departure to Bhutan! Full itinerary of the trip

 

Our instructor, Ms. Queen, is a great cabin attendant, and now we are off to Bhutan!　Have a safe journey, everyone!

 

 

First, divide into breakout rooms,Lecturers act as tour guides and introduce BhutanWe will continue to do so.

The presentation is an international tour, soIn English, of course.It's a great opportunity for all of us! Many of the presentations were so ingenious that they made me want to be a guide already.

At the end of the trip,Bhutanese Gueststo welcome you, or rather, the guests welcomed you?

The guest speaker this time was,tenzinic acidandMr. Pema.Both are from Bhutan and are high school students attending an international school in Japan.

Many questions were raised based on what we have learned so far, such as.

 

Finally, a commemorative photo was taken with the friends who traveled with us!The event was so successful that it could not fit on one screen.

Both the instructors and staff will continue to work hard to make International more enjoyable and to make the learning experience even deeper!
