Hello, this is Kaburaki, GLI representative.
If you areI hope that one day my child will be active on the world stage."If you feel that”Japanese wooden clappers (signalling the beginning or end of a performance)I recommend it for a pair."There are things that can be done.
that isTo compete in a worldwide contest."It is.
There are "two" reasons.
The first is,"Skills required on a global scale."through English, and learn while practicing.Things to do.
And another,"Experience to work on the world stage."can be done from childhood.From.
that (something or someone distant from the speaker, close to the listener)A worldwide contest."The thing is that,FLL (First LEGO League), the world's largest international robotics competitionIt is.
This year, GLI will againAiming to participate in the FLL (First LEGO League) World Championshipsin order to
"Recruiting members for FLL course."
(The photo shows the previous members). (The photo shows the previous members.)
What is the "FLL Course?"
I will explain this to those who may have felt this way.
First,First LEGO LeagueWhat is "FLL", called from the initial letters of each of the following,The world's largest international "robot contest" for youth ages 9-16It is.
The LEGO company, which I am sure you and your children have played with, and FIRST, an American non-profit organization, have established this project to promote the development of a new type of "LEGO" product,Currently, more than 32,000 teams from 88 countries participate in this international event. It is.
That contest isThe contestants will compete in the Robotics Competition and the (English) Presentation Competition. The following video will help you visualize.
of this FLL convention."Participation in the World Championships"with the goal ofNot only "English proficiency."
Robot programming skills
English presentation skills
Communication skills
and so on, and not only in this FLL,We will also hone our skills to be active in the world in the future. The "FLL Course" isIt is.
Frankly, there may be many schools where you can learn programming. However,Only here at GLI can you learn programming with "clear goals," such as aiming for world competitions.
No experience is required!
like this"Aiming for the World Championships..."I say,
I've never had any programming experience.
I'm worried about my English ability.
I wonder if the presentation will be okay.
You may be worried. But don't worry! The previous members were all "inexperienced. It was.
such (about the actions of the listener, or about ideas expressed or understood by the listener)"First entry with no experience at all."While teammates and GLI instructors work together toReceived the "Research AwardI did.
So, you don't have to worry about "Will my child be okay? You don't need to worry about "Will my child be OK? All you need to do isLet's do it anyway!"the courage to sayonly.
On the contrary, it is essential for a child's growth that parents provide such an environment and opportunity.
Also, if your child is an advanced English speaker,There are not many opportunities to be active on the world stage from childhood.
We recommend that you use the FLL course as a place to further use your English skills.
